VETERINARIAN/OWNER – In Practice since 1977 – Retired August 1, 2017
Dr. Ron graduated from MSU’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 1974. He started the current practice in June of 1978 as an ambulatory farm-call/house-call practice, moving into his first clinic in 1980 and into the current location in November of 2004. Dr. Ron enjoys his work because of the satisfaction he receives from helping animals recover from life-threatening injuries and/or illnesses and the close relationships he builds with their owners. He also is proud of the close personal relationships he has built with his numerous large-animal clients and the trust they instill in him to help them become as successful as possible. Dr. Ron is married to his wife, Jenny, and has three children – Jeff, Jon, and Abby – and 4 grandchildren – Andrew, Alex, Hailey and Carter. When not working he enjoys spending time with his grandchildren, gardening, and taking care of his animals. He has multiple pets including 6 dogs, 4 cats, peacocks, turkeys, and more chickens than he wants to count. Dr. Ron was the senior clinician/owner and played every role as veterinarian from consulting on almost any kind of farm animal to performing advanced orthopedic surgeries on dogs and cats. Dr. Ron officially retired on August 1, 2017 and he will be missed by all!
